Sentinel: The Adventures Of Captain Johnathan Kane -
This is my own character which I created back in 1983. The high concept for this was Superman in a Star Trek universe, but as I've developed it over time, it's become much, much more. As to the drawing itself, this started out as a very rough pencil sketch that I then scanned into my computer. Once I had the scan in, I "inked" the whole thing in both Adobe Illustrator (for outlines) and Adobe Photoshop (for details). Once the black "ink" part was done, I then colored the whole thing in Photoshop. Now later, I got to working with the free 3D drawing program from Google, Google Sketch-Up. I thought it would be cool to build my background spaceship as a 3D model that I could later use for the actual strip and that model can be seen below.
