Captain Atom and Nightshade Illustration -
Captain Atom and Nightshade were two characters created by one of the all-time comic art masters, Steve Ditko. Steve Ditko, for those who don't know, was the artist who worked with Stan Lee on the original Spider-Man stories back in the 60s. These two characters were originally published by Charlton Comics back in the 60s and later acquired by DC Comics in the 80s. For this drawing, I decided to go back to the look that Ditko had for the characters back in the day. This drawing was my first attempt at doing everything digitally, no pencil or paper involved. For this piece, I used my Wacom tablet and Adobe Photoshop and that was it. For the full details on how I did it, check out The Process section on this site.
