Captain America Illustration -
One of my very favorite podcasts out there in the realm of podcasts is the very entertaining
11 O'Clock Comics by VinceB, David Price, Jason Wood and Chris Nieseman. I hang out on their forums quite a bit and contribute movie reviews on a regular basis. Recently, a talented young artist by the name of Andrew Tom started up a thread on their forums for a monthly sketchbook challenge and initiated the thread with the first challenge, drawing Marvel's Captain America character. Captain America was created by the legendary team of Joe Simon and Jack Kirby back in the 40s and is set to be seen on big screens across the country this July. This drawing started out as an extreme rough sketch that I tightened up considerably after importing into Photoshop. After that, the rest of the finishes, black ink and color were all done digitally.
